Festival of Adventures and Mud River Music Fest – September 20th & 21st, 2008-Aitkin City Park. This is a great educational family event! This historical rendezvous and music fest is provided by dedicated re-enactors and talented Celtic musicians. Buttons will be on Sale Sept. 1, with the cost of $5 pre-sale, $7 at the gate. Kids 15 & under are FREE!

September 17th & 18th-The Crisis Line is celebrating 20 years of service to your communities .September 17th, the fun will be held at T-Maxwell's in Staples, and September 18th the party is at the Forestview Middle School.The evening kicks off at 6:30 p.m.,with refreshments, goodies, and entertainment by Blaze Driscoll, a comedy stage hypnotist. Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased by calling Crisis Line at 218-828-4515 or purchase at the door. Help us celebrate!

Fly-In/Car Show – June 29, 2008 - Aitkin Airport - Classic autos, vintage planes and tractors on display. Flea market, pancake breakfast, church service, and lunch. Great family event.
