January - Aitkin Jaycees Fishing Contest - 12-3 p.m. at Barnacles Resort on Mille Lacs Lake. Tickets in advance $15.00 and the day of $20.00. Prizes awarded for the top 25 heaviest fish. On-ice raffles for over 100 prizes also. Some prizes include: Artic Cat 4x4 4 wheeler, 42” Flat screen TV, Kayak, Predator Fish House, 2 $500 cash, Lake of the Woods stay, Grand Casino Stay, 2 Ganz’s 5 bird pheasant hunt and motel stay, and many more.
