 The Aitkin Area Chamber of Commerce is hiring an Office Support Specialist
Job Description:
An office support specialist oversees and manages the administrative functions of an office or workplace. The Office Support Specialist will work closely with the Outreach Coordinator to provide positive and helpful services to chamber members, area residents, and visitors. What we are looking for:
• Great verbal and written communication skills
• A commitment to hospitality and the ability to provide exceptional customer service
• Proficiency with computers and willingness to learn new applications/processes when applicable. Experience with Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities Include:
Daily Office Management
• Maintain regular attendance in the office to ensure the availability of Chamber services to residents and visitors
• Complete tasks on a timely schedule in collaboration with the Outreach Coordinator.
• Check phone messages and handle incoming calls • Respond to requests for information
• Process mailings and maintain mailing lists
• In collaboration with the Executive Director, maintain office equipment, supplies, and appearance Community and Members
Regular duties include:
• In collaboration with and by direction from the Outreach Coordinator, update and maintain www.aitkin.com and social media channels (Instagram, Facebook).
• Coordinate e-mail marketing campaigns via Constant Contact in collaboration with and by direction from the Outreach Coordinator. Occasional Outreach duties include:
• Attend committee meetings to maintain a working knowledge of chamber goals and happenings.
• Assist the Outreach Coordinator with events as needed. Compensation:
• This is a flexible, part-time position. 10-15 hours per week typically between the hours of 9 am-3 pm with some flexibility outside of those hours potentially needed for events.
The first 90 days of employment will be considered a probationary period. At the end of 90 days, the Outreach Coordinator will evaluate the overall performance. We believe that diversity drives innovation and creativity.

Pay: $15.00 per hour
