Our Mission
Attract tourists, permanent, and seasonal residents and businesses to the area, raise awareness of city, county, state, and federal governing/legislative developments that affect the area, enhance public relations through marketing, programs and events, which encourage total community awareness of the area, and advance business, professional, educational, church, community health in the area.
In collaboration with our partners, we assist in advancing the economy by championing the retention, expansion, and attraction of Chamber members and area businesses.

Chamber Committees
Community Connections Committee:
Welcomes new businesses or businesses with significant changes (remodel/new owners).
Meets quarterly or as needed.
Retail Committee:
Plans promotions and campaigns to encourage shopping small.
Meets 1st Thursday at 8:00 am at the Beanery.
Economic Development Committee:
Identifies opportunities for economic growth and pursues them.
Event Subcommittees: Workforce Summit and Legislative Luncheon
Meets 2nd Wednesday of the Month at 8:00 am at the Aitkin Government Center.
Ripplesippi Trails Committee:
Creating a plan to develop, maintain, and promote recreational waterways on the Ripple and Mississippi Rivers in Aitkin County. Meets 2nd Wednesday of the Month at 9:00 am at the Aitkin Government Center.
Events Committee:
Plans fundraising & networking events. Plans Taste of Aitkin, the Annual Meeting, Social Spotlights, and more. Meets 3rd Thursday at noon at the 40 Club Bar and Grill.
Subcommittees for each event meet as needed.
Riverboat Days Committee:
Plans the annual Riverboat Heritage Days festival. Meets 3rd Thursday of the month at 3:00pm at MidMinnesota Credit Union.
Fish House Parade Committee:
Plans the annual Fish House Parade. Meets seasonally.
