Experience the magic of the World Famous Fish House Parade in Aitkin, MN, on November 29th, 2024!

You might be wondering, “What is the Fish House Parade?” It’s a unique celebration where locals and businesses creatively adorn their ice fishing shacks to compete for the title of best float in this whimsical parade.

Join over 3,000 visitors from across the U.S. for a day filled with Minnesota spirit!

Not only do we have the parade, but we have a whole day of fun planned. Kick off with the Fishhouse 5K, bring the kids to meet Santa, explore the vintage snowmobile exhibit, shop from delightful local vendors, and enjoy the parade at 1 PM in downtown Aitkin.

Don’t forget to bundle up and dress warm!

Get ready to kick off Fish House Friday with a brisk 5k! Join us on Friday, November 29th, in Downtown Aitkin for the Fish House 5k—open to participants of all ages and abilities. The scenic course follows the City Walking Trail, making it a great way to enjoy the outdoors. Don’t want to chance the weather but still want to participate or get a t-shirt? No worries! You can complete your run on your own time, we totally understand.

The run starts at 9 am but day of registration will start as early as 8 am.

After the race, stick around for the Vintage Snowmobile Display, Black Friday shopping, and don’t miss the famous Fish House Parade at 1 PM!

Awards include gift cards to our local businesses for the top two finishers in both Men’s and Women’s categories that participate on the day of.

Race shirts for both in-person and virtual participants can be picked up on Black Friday (November 29th) at The Ripple Center (301 Minnesota Ave N, Aitkin, MN – formerly The Butler Building). Pick-up times are from 8 AM to Noon on race day.

Couldn’t make it and want to participate virtually? T-shirts can be mailed to you for $10!
